Today we went to the Perpetual Succour Hospital for the first time. We were given an in-depth tour by the Head nurse of the cancer treatment facility in the hospital so that we know our way around. We also got to meet the doctors and nurses who work in the unit, however, they work in rotations so we won't be seeing all of them every day. Most importantly, we met Ate Cyndie (Ate means sister in Filippino and is sometimes used to refer to women around your age), a member of the Kythe Foundation with whom we will be working in the upcoming weeks. Before leaving we also started preparing some activity kits that we will use to educate the children about nutrition on Monday since it is Nutrition Month.
Once we were back home, our jetlag got the best of us and we ended up fast asleep.
