We started off with a 4-hour drive to Barcelona where we spent the night in preparation to take our first flight to Doha, Qatar. After hailing a taxi we made our way to the airport which thankfully was not too busy. After parting ways for passport control (Grace has a Schengen passport which made her super speedy, I, Mehek, was not) we reconvened in time for our flight to Doha. After spending 6 hours amidst crying children and attempts at sleep, our source of comfort became the Minions movie. Once landed, we expected to enter the world-renowned Hamad International Airport of Qatar, but we were instead greeted with a 15-minute bus ride where the bus driver seemed to have taken a wrong turn. Finally entering the airport, we walked around aimlessly window shopping as our gate wasn't announced yet (it still isn’t). We now sit in the food court trying to stay awake as we write to you (it's past midnight). Stay tuned for part 2.
