It wasn’t too busy today with three patients coming. We spent the morning in the treatment room playing Roblox with the children, a game we have come to find out is everyone's favourite. The kids loved showing off their virtual worlds and we all had a lot of fun exploring, building together, and playing some form of hide and seek in these worlds.

Later in the afternoon, one of the kids had to undergo a bone marrow procedure that day. It is a very painful procedure where they insert a big needle directly into the spine. For this reason, some people choose to get anaesthesia which she did. We made sure to give her some extra attention and support, keeping the atmosphere light and positive before going in. After the procedure, she was a bit tired but still managed to join us for a little while before leaving to go back home.

Throughout the day, we also made some bracelets. It was a simple yet enjoyable activity that everyone could participate in. The kids chose their favourite colours and beads, making bracelets for themselves and some of the staff. Due to there being not too many adult patients today, the nurses were able to join in as well and made a few bracelets of their own. It was a lovely way to interact with them and get to know the full medical unit a bit better. It was nice to see them interacting with the children, laughing, and enjoying a break from their usual hectic schedules.
